ARTCADE, 2020 Links:SAIC Undergraduate Exhibition "Have you been searching for a place to play through a whimsical set of stories? To explore new realities where mistakes are undone by a simple restart button, and stories are shaped by your decisions? Escape to the ARTCADE! A fantastical place to experience the interactive medium of video games! Games made in Unity, Maya, Twine." ARTCADE was a student curated show featuring five artists' indie games. Featured both in the SITE Columbus gallery and the SAIC Spring Undergraduate Exhibition 2020, the show was a portal into a gaming space to escape into unique worlds. Prints--screen printed, risographed, laser printed--curated by the artists adorned the walls, adding to the friendly-nature of the space.
The game I made is called "Rom-Com Romp". It is a choose-your-own-adventure Twine game, where you play as the owner of a coffee shop who's main goal is to help various characters fulfill their romantic goals.
